After absolutely dominating the global box office this summer to the tune of $2.5 billion, the next chapter in Peter Parker's Marvel Cinematic Universe journey has finally arrived in living rooms. As of October 6, 2026, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios' Spider-Man: Brand New Day is officially available to rent or purchase across major digital storefronts, including Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video and Fandango at Home.

If you missed the web-slinger's highly anticipated return to theaters, or simply want to experience the massive mutant crossover from the comfort of your couch, here is everything you need to know about the home release. For more film coverage, see our Entertainment hub.

Rental and purchase pricing

For viewers streaming via the Apple ecosystem, the pricing structure follows the standard premium video-on-demand (PVOD) model for major blockbusters:

  • Digital Rental: $24.99. Allows you 30 days to start the film, and 48 hours to finish it once started.
  • Digital Purchase: $29.99. Adds the film permanently to your Apple TV library in 4K resolution.

What to expect from Brand New Day

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Brand New Day marks a major tonal shift for the franchise. Following the tragic events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the world has completely forgotten that Peter Parker exists. Tom Holland returns as a lonelier, more mature Peter who has dedicated his entire existence to anonymously protecting New York City as a street-level vigilante.

However, the immense physical and psychological pressure of fighting crime full-time triggers a surprising evolution in Peter's superpowers, including the development of organic web-shooters. This physical transformation coincides with the arrival of a massive new threat: Jean Grey (played by Stranger Things breakout Sadie Sink), a young mutant with incredibly dangerous psionic and telepathic abilities who is desperately searching for her sister. Zendaya also returns as MJ, though her character is completely unaware of her past relationship with Peter as she navigates her life at MIT.
