TOKYO — My Hero Ultra Rumble is pulling out all the stops for its three-year milestone.
Bandai Namco has officially revealed the massive content drop arriving with Season 19 on September 30, 2026. Celebrating the 3rd anniversary of the hit free-to-play battle royale, the upcoming season introduces highly requested “Final War” versions of the Todoroki brothers as brand-new playable characters, rather than just alternate skill sets.
Here is a breakdown of the new characters, their unique abilities, and the new anniversary cosmetics dropping this week.
Phosphor Shoto: A Completely New Character
The most significant addition to the roster is Shoto Todoroki (Phosphor). The developers at Byking clarified that this version of Shoto is not an alternate “Battle Style” for the original character released back in 2023, but an entirely separate playable character built from the ground up.
This version of Shoto reflects his evolution during the Final War arc, where he finally merges his fire and ice abilities to their absolute limit. His entire kit is built around this fusion:
- Special Action 1 — Flashfire Fist: Phosphor: This is the defining mechanic of his kit. By fusing cold and flame to its absolute limit, Shoto enters a stabilized state that enhances all of his Quirk skills and boosts his overall movement speed.
- Special Action 2 — Ice Slide: Shoto retains his mobility with a new sliding mechanic that even allows him to traverse up walls.
- Quirk Skills: His offensive techniques perfectly mirror his manga counterpart. His Alpha skill is Frozen Body Blade Flash, his Beta is Crimson Lotus Flame Slash, and his Gamma incorporates Jetstream Blaze and Great Glacial Aegir — a massive, area-of-effect freezing attack originally designed to counter Toya's extreme heat.
In a shrinking battle royale safe zone, Shoto's immense crowd-control capabilities are expected to make him a devastating asset in final-circle team fights.
Toya Todoroki and Anniversary Costumes
Joining his brother in the arena is the highly anticipated Toya Todoroki. Utilizing his incredibly destructive blue flames, Toya brings a ferocious, damage-heavy playstyle that perfectly contrasts Shoto's calculated freezing techniques.
Beyond the new fighters, Bandai Namco is rolling out several new cosmetics to celebrate the game's third year. Fans can expect to pull for new themed outfits in the gacha rolls, including the striking Shoto Todoroki (Phosphor) Undefeatable costume and the Ibara Shiozaki Superstar Idol outfit.
With Season 19 officially kicking off tomorrow, players won't have to wait long to see which Todoroki brother reigns supreme on the battlefield.
